We aim to respond as quickly as possible, but it is difficult to say when that will be as our team is small and part-time. We monitor enquiries and where possible answers to common questions on this page.

The Bowra Foundation provides anyone with a neurological brain injury a place to meet and be inspired, to challenge themselves and not be defined by their injury. Take a look at what we do.

Bowra Buddies, are those members who are recovering from a neurological brain injury, buddies may also be military veterans.

"The Bowra Foundation inspires the unrelenting pursuit of recovery from brain injury through practical help and physical challenges alongside members of the Armed Forces community".

We conduct activities throughout the week which may include watersports, cycling, bowing and even adaptive golf. Our activities are advertised in advance by our activities coordinator.

All activities are confirmed using WhatsApp at the beginning of each week once you become a Bowra Buddie.

We provide all activities free of charge, and we even provide refreshments and good company 😊.

If you do not require support and have access to your own transport we will be happy to see you when you arrive but we would always suggest that a family member or a supporter attends on the first visit you make to any one of our activities so that they can judge for themselves what support is and we always welcome supporters or family to join in the fun.

Before you become a member of the Bowra Foundation we ask that you complete a short onboarding form, so we understand what you can do and also what you think your limitations may be.

We ask that one of our team members meet with you and your supporters so we can explain the Foundation fully and answer any questions you may have. Everyone is different and to support you in achieving your goals and aspirations it is important that we get to know one another.
